Two sisters live together in a small isolated  sea side town. The eldest one, old and bedbound wishes to be have a sea burial as her desire to swim in the sea alive is not achievable. The youngest one complies with her dying wish and a few weeks later, she embarks on the long journey of transporting her sister's coffin from the town's church to the shore. In her path she is met with disapproval from the locals as sea burials are not custom.
